Clare Maddocks

Education and Research Officer

Clare Maddocks is a qualified Neurologic Music Therapist based in the North West of England. She studied her MA in Music Therapy at the University of the West of England, completing in Autumn 2018. She works part-time for Chroma, providing individual and group Music Therapy in neurorehabilitation and has previous experience of working in mainstream and ASN settings. Clare has a strong passion for working within the field of brain injury, as it was through her work as a community musician on stroke wards that led her to train as a Music Therapist. Prior to training she worked in a multitude of health and education settings as a musician and teacher, and has extensive experience of setting up bespoke community music projects.

Clare has worked at BAMT since 2018 as PR Officer before transitioning into the Education and Research Officer role in July 2023. Outside of the world of Music Therapy she is mum to two vivacious daughters and enjoys any excuse to visit her hometown of Glasgow.
