This online training workshop is open to qualified and student music therapists of all approaches who are interested in developing clinical thinking and skills for using verbal interventions within a music therapy context.  This is a neglected area of focus within the profession, whilst many music therapists are often confronted with the challenges of verbal work, and the tensions this can create. The training will include theory, discussions, case study material and workshopping.

Max Ryz is a music therapist and clinical supervisor who works within the NHS and private practice with adults and adolescents struggling with mental health conditions. He has wide ranging experience working with verbal patients, within psychoanalytically informed and mentalisation based arts psychotherapy treatments. Max is currently a senior psychological therapist within Tower Hamlets Psychological Therapies Service.
