Open Lecture – Music Therapy in Persistent Disorders of Consciousness (PDOC)

Music and therefore music therapy has an important part to play in the lives of people with Disorders of Consciousness.
This lecture will provide an overview of patients with Disorders of Consciousness. It will also include an Introduction to the Music Therapy Assessment Tool for Awareness in Disorders of Consciousness (MATADOC) and outline some music therapy group work with this client group. Consideration will be given to providing appropriate sensory environments.
