'Chiltern Shares': Creating and Growing Your Business - for smaller Music Therapy Organisations and Freelancers

20 May 2025

'Chiltern Shares' is a training series from Chiltern Music Therapy designed to support freelance Music Therapists and those working in small organisations.

The three sessions explore key aspects of running, promoting, and sustaining music therapy work:
1. Navigating Social Media and Messaging (20th May) - how to share your work authentically and ethically through digital platforms and other communication tools.
2. The Business of Music Therapy (19th June) - practical guidance on business structures, finances, evaluation, and long-term sustainability
3. The Practicalities of Music Therapy Work (5th August) - everyday professional responsibilities including documentation, GDPR, supervision, referrals, and working within settings like schools or care homes

Each session draws on Chiltern’s own experience of building and evolving a music therapy organisation. It’s not about having all the answers - it's about sharing what we’ve learned and creating space for thoughtful discussion and peer learning.

Tiered pricing is available to reflect different working contexts - from sole freelancers to mid-size organisations - with discounts for students, NQMTs, and those booking multiple sessions.
