We're thrilled, as part of the re-launch of the BAMT student network, to be hosting this in-person event as part of the BAMT2024 conference. You'll get to network with peers, discuss all things Music Therapy and enjoy a mini jobs fair where you can meet with organisations. We'll be releasing more exciting details soon. This Post-Graduate Researchers workshop will appeal to PhD researchers, research supervisors, practitioners engaged in research, people interested in possibly doing post graduate research and anyone interested in Music Therapy research. The session will be an opportunity to meet fellow researchers, share the challenges and benefits of engaging in Music Therapy research and make connections. The session will be facilitated by three Music Therapist researchers - Hilary Moss is a PhD supervisor/examiner, Donald Wetherick is a recent PhD graduate, and Luke Annesley is undertaking doctoral research. This workshop will offer time for networking, small group discussion and sharing the challenges and benefits of engaging in Music Therapy research.

The Christians in Arts Therapy Network is restarting its regular online gatherings in anticipation of the next National gathering in July 2024 (venue to be confirmed).

This meeting will consist of three case presentations, each of which will be followed by group discussion

This is a two-year post-masters training course taught by Dr. Diane Austin, available to qualified music therapists or other therapists with a comparable skill set, which will result in a certificate in Vocal Psychotherapy from the Music Psychotherapy Center in New York City, USA. The certification includes the authorization to use the credentials AVPT (Austin Vocal Psychotherapist). Graduates of the program will be placed on our international referral list for clients seeking this model of psychotherapy.

This study day will highlight, via case study presentations, various ways music therapists can provide culturally sensitive and appropriate interventions for this client group.
