CAHPR launch the Directory of Professors
AHP Professors are often hidden within academic institutions so CAHPR are showcasing the UK's AHP Professors in a new directory. Professors are key leaders and influences promoting and advancing AHP research and AHP research capacity. If you’re an Allied Health Professional and a UK based full Professor, we invite you to join this directory. You can find out more, and join the Directory of Professors by completing this form. (Sorry we’re excluding visiting, associate and assistant professors.)
We also seek to establish a snapshot picture of how diverse our AHP Professors community are. This data is anonymous and will be gathered on a separate survey. Please complete this survey too. #AHPProfs #CAHPR
The NHS England Multi-professional Practice-based Research Capabilities Framework has been published.
The Multi-professional Practice-based Research Capabilities Framework sets out the fundamental, or core, capabilities expected of practice-based health and care professionals. It's been developed to clearly outline how practitioners can get involved in health and care research in ways that reflect their level of practice. https://advanced-practice.hee.nhs.uk/research-framework-launched/

New NIHR research training, development & career awards
In August 2023 the NIHR announced £30M of additional funding investment for research capacity building. They designed a site with blogpost to explain the relevance of these opportunities for all AHPs. It includes advice on how to apply. https://nihrawards.blogs.lincoln.ac.uk/
Calling all speech and language therapists
A team are developing a potential study looking at swallowing assessments post stroke and need your help. Below is a link to a quick survey that asks five questions about how swallowing is assessed in your Trust. It should take no more than a couple of minutes to complete but does ask about access to Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) equipment. https://uclan.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/global-evaluation-of-swallowing-survey
Apologies for the short timeframe but please complete by Friday 15th March.

Who can participate?

Podiatrists
How do I participate?
