Barbican Visitor Information

However you like to travel, here are some of our recommended routes to get to the Barbican

By tube  - We are within walking distance from a number of London Underground stations, the closest being Barbican, St Paul’s and Moorgate. To plan your journey and for up to date travel information, visit the TfL website.

By rail  - The nearest train stations are Liverpool Street and Farringdon.

By bus  - Bus Route 153 runs directly past the Barbican along Chiswell Street. We are easily accessible by bus from around the city; plan your journey using the TfL Interactive Bus Map.

On foot  - Explore the city by visiting us on foot – you can walk to the Barbican within 30 minutes from all over central London. Plan your route with our walking map from nearby tube stations and public transport.

By bicycle  - Cycle racks are available at the entrance to Car Park 5 and exit to Car Park 3 and helmets and equipment can be left in our free cloakrooms. Our nearest TfL Bicycle Hire docking station is Silk Street. Plan your journey using the TfL Cycle Journey Planner.

By car  - The Barbican has its own car parks and will cost between £20 to £30 for the weekend depending on the time parked, please use the following links to book:

By coach  - For those visiting by coach, Silk Street is the designated set down and collect point. Find out more.

Travelling by Bus and Tube in London
Please note that travelling around London on TFL routes is cashless, you must use an Oyster card or a contactless payment card (debit or credit). If you use a contactless payment card you will not need to top up your card before you travel or worry about running out of credit. Pay as you go fares and daily caps are the same as Oyster.
