Guidelines for submission

Participants are invited to submit their papers online from Monday 12th June 2017. Please note that all abstracts must be submitted online.

The third BAMT Conference is titled: “Music, Diversity and Wholeness”

Online Process

Submissions consist of a title (max. 50 words) and an abstract (max. 300 words), and should be submitted under the following domains:
  • Lifespan (early years to end of life)
  • Environments (technologies, communities)
  • Aspects of change (recovery, adjustment, therapeutic processes, training, supervision, transformation)
  • Alliances (interdisciplinary working, thinking and practice beyond music therapy, nature of alliances)
During the submission process, authors need to indicate their preferred presentation type, the final decision regarding the presentation type will however be taken by the Scientific Committee.

Types of Presentations:
- Paper Presentation (Duration: 25 minutes)
- Poster Presentation
- Round Table (Duration: 90minutes)
- Workshop (Duration: 60 minutes or 90minutes)

We welcome multiple submissions from authors.

Papers must be submitted in English. Please complete all the compulsory text boxes on the online submission form as denoted by *.

Once an abstract has been submitted, no further changes can be made to the submission. Please read through your submission carefully before selecting ‘Submit’.

Submission of a paper constitutes a commitment by the author to present at the conference if their paper is accepted.

Peer Review Process

The deadline for submissions is 5pm on 15th August 2017.

All submissions to the BAMT Conference 2018 will be blind peer reviewed by the Scientific Committee and will begin during August 2017. Papers will be approved according to their quality and relevance to the theme and domains.
Presenters will be contacted by the Scientific Committee in October 2017 to inform them if their abstract has been accepted. If a paper is accepted, it is a requirement for the presenting author to attend the conference.

Attending the conference

It is mandatory for the presenting author to have registered for the conference by November 30th 2017.

Conference Book of Abstracts

All accepted papers will be published as they have been received in the conference book of abstracts. The book of abstracts will be made available online prior to the conference along with the conference programme.
