While currently working within WPP Plc, I have also previously worked within the Omnicom network - both are within the "Big Four" advertising agency companies worldwide with listings on the London Stock Exchange.

Working as a Financial Controller I have overseen the internal as well as the statutory reporting covering the UK, Swedish and Indian markets. Introducing and maintaining a strong internal controls environment has always been a primary focus.

While my experience may predominantly lie within the advertising industry, I have also headed up the finance team for one of the UKs largest Charities – The Diocese of Westminster, bringing with it my familiarity with Charity reporting and the difference in goals within a corporate / charity setting.

While very fulfilled with my career to date, I was looking for an opportunity to work within a completely different sector and offer my skillset in a voluntary capacity – as a challenge for myself and as a way of adding value to an organisation.

I see this role as the perfect opportunity for achieving this goal; working to promote music therapy and its benefits, which for me was relatively new idea, is very exciting.

Accounting lends itself to many synergies cross industries, so I am looking forward to applying my skillset to BAMT as we take the organisation forward.
