Ali Rowley has an extensive legal background. A law graduate of Cambridge University, she has nearly 30 years' experience practising as a barrister and in other senior legal positions. She has an ability to understand and cut through "legal jargon" and summarise issues concisely and clearly. Having served as a trustee of BAMT since 2016, Ali is presently Chair of the Governance Committee.
A lifelong passion for music has developed into a deepening interest in music therapy. Ali is studying for an MA in Music Therapy. She plays a number of instruments, is a qualified violin teacher, plays in an orchestra and sings in two choirs, and is heavily involved in music in her local community.
