Jonathan Booth, Chair of Trustees (Acting)

Jonathan is a qualified music therapist who works for a social care charity on the South Coast. He qualified as a music therapist from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. Prior to training as a therapist he served for 8 years in the Royal Marines Band Service. 

As a therapist, Jonathan specialises in working with children and adolescences who have experienced high levels of trauma or have poor mental health. He has also worked within learning disability and autism services. As a clinician Jonathan is an avid user of technology within the therapy space as well as championing the wide breadth of skills that music therapists bring to the allied health professions.

Jonathan lives in Hampshire with his wife and son. Outside of work, he plays keyboard/synth in a function band, recorder in a baroque ensemble and sings his church chamber choir. When not playing music Jonathan can often be found sailing somewhere in the Solent!
