APPG Inquiry Report launched 'Creative Health: The Arts for Health & Wellbeing

All Party Parliamentary Group for Arts, Health & Wellbeing Inquiry Report Released

Today, the All Party Parliamentary Group for Arts, Health and Wellbeing (APPGAHW), launched its Inquiry Report, Creative Health: The Arts for Health and Wellbeing. Conducted over two years, the report is the most significant evaluation of the role of the arts on health and wellbeing ever conducted in the UK. Over 200 witnesses contributed to discussions and events, and evidence has been drawn from a huge range of sources to assess the impact of different arts and health interventions.

We very much welcome the report and its findings, and are particularly pleased to see the role of the arts therapies and our evidence base highlighted throughout the report. It makes an excellent case for collaborative work across all people involved in the arts, the arts in health and arts therapies, and reminds us that at the heart of what we all do is a shared passion to improve and enrich lives through the arts.

The report is available online in two versions - full and short
