The Power of Music in Health and Social Care

The University of Nottingham is delighted to host its first Power of Music in Health and Social Care Conference. This one day conference brings together care partners interested in the role music has in quality of living and care.

In partnership with the Room217 Foundation, Live Music Now, MHA and Lakeside Arts, the Conference will feature interactive workshops showcasing local performers and projects, such as Opus Music, the Nottingham People’s Choir and Soundtrack to my Life. Key speakers also include Dr Corene Hurt-Thaut, Dr Ming Hung Hsu and Gareth Gates.

The conference is for anyone who wants to learn more about the role music plays in care, including care providers, family and volunteer caregivers, care receivers, care workers, musicians, faith-based and community agencies, students, researchers, policymakers and the community.
