Save the Date: Anglia Ruskin University MA Music Therapy , 25th Anniversary

2019 is the 25th anniversary of the start of the MA Music Therapy programme at Anglia Ruskin University. Founded by Professor Helen Odell-Miller OBE and Professor Amelia Oldfield, it was the first Masters level MA Music Therapy course in the UK.

To celebrate its anniversary, The Cambridge Institute for Music Therapy Research, within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at Anglia Ruskin University, will host a two-day conference showcasing the work of leading music therapists who trained at Anglia Ruskin University. It will include best practice in national and international music therapy research, teaching and clinical practice.

The conference will take place on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 September 2019 at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge (Young Street) campus.

Delegates will include current and former students, colleagues, collaborative partners and the public.

Tickets will cost £50 per day (lunch included). There will be an evening party and reception.
Tickets will be available soon, together with a full programme.
There will also be access to some funded travel bursaries for attendees and assistance towards fees for hardship.

MA Music Therapy alumni are encouraged to get involved in the celebrations and we would welcome those who would like to volunteer to help organise, or perform as part of this special event, to get in touch soon.

Speakers who are established leaders in the field from many countries will be invited to present, insuring that the conference represents a diverse and broad group of countries, populations, approaches and communities.
