Introduction to Musicians without Borders

Musicians without Borders (MwB) Trainer Emma Smith will run a training course spanning three weekends in Edinburgh, Scotland, to provide an introduction to MwB's work. She will provide basic training and experience in designing and facilitating Community Music Workshops with refugee communities aimed at healing and integration. MwB's training methodology is based on five core principals - safety, empathy, equality, inclusion and quality - which have been developed over many years across their programs. Each session will include a supervised workshop with refugees based in Edinburgh, as well as advice about how to get started in this kind of work.
