Mandalas, Myths, and GIM with Marilyn Clark

Over this three day intensive workshop, participants will be exploring archetypes in personal process through Joan Kellogg’s “Archetypal Stages of the Great Round of Mandala” and Joseph Campbell’s “Hero’s Journey Cycle.” An overview through lecture accompanied by mandala drawing will take participants through the Great Round. How the Hero’s Journey Cycle is relevant in a GIM process will be explored through case material and mythology. Listening and responding to the GIM programme entitled “Mythic Journey One”, based on the stages of the Hero’s Journey cycle, will be rich context for experiential learning. There will be an examination of a GIM case study and accompanying mandalas. Supervision and consultation centred on participant’s mandalas will provide modelling for the place of mandalas in the GIM process.
