There will be a considerable focus on practical and transferable skills and the application of
therapeutic songwriting approaches in a wide range of contexts and settings including Community Mental Health, Special Education, Palliative and Residential care.
Appropriate for Music Therapists, community musicians and health-care practitioners who wish to explore and develop their creative therapeutic skills.
Bob Heath has been a Music Therapist and community musician for over 25 years during which time he has helped to establish therapeutic songwriting as one of the main pillars of Music Therapy practice in the UK. He plays an active role in supporting the development of Music Therapy in palliative care in Romania and Italy and continues to work as a therapist and supervisor in private practice in the UK.
Will Lawton qualified as a Music Therapist in 2019 and established The Rhythm Practice the
following year. Based at The Pound in Corsham, Wiltshire, the practice now has a team of five therapists.
