This is our standard two day training, working on a model for engaging young people and adults thorugh rhythmic music and reflective discussions to further social and emotional development and assist with managing adversity.
This work is used by music therapists across a wide range of educational & therapeutic settings and in individual, family and group therapy. It is backed by a growing evidence base, with eight independent research studies all showing significant improvements in social and emotional outcomes, and endorsed by the centre for clinical excellence https://rhythm2recovery.com/evidence/
This is an inspirational, fun, practical, and fully engaging workshop that provides a pathway to explore a wide range of life-skill and relationships issues in a safe context.
It is full to the brim with collaborative rhythm games that engage all ages and developmental levels.
It also draws on the latest neuro-science on how rhythmic music can reduce anxiety & assist in regulating the human stress response. It includes a wide range of exercises that address emotional regulation, mindfulness and grounding.
This program has been hugely successful in working with groups who struggle with language. It has also been highly effective with young people with sensory perception and motor co-ordination challenges.
Post- training, you will have access to 200+ online videos, exercises and rhythms to further enhance your work.
"RUN, DO NOT WALK to a Rhythm2Recovery workshop if you ever get a chance to participate – such valuable ideas for music interventions that revolve around rhythm & drumming. It was absolutely worth the money spent and everything and more that I hoped it would be. Sheila Connors, MT-BC, New York."
