Communicating Through Music - Adolescents

07 April 2025

Join us for a transformative 2 hour online workshop exploring the power of music in communication, led by an experienced HCPC registered Music Therapist. Whether you're a musician or teacher, this workshop will help you discover the ways in which music can enhance your ability to connect with others, express your emotions, and build meaningful relationships.

Through a series of interactive exercises and discussions, you'll learn tools and ideas to help you use music to communicate more effectively. In this work shop these will be specifically tailored to those working in adolescent educational settings. You'll explore the different types of musical communication, from nonverbal expression to singing and songwriting, and learn how to tailor your approach to fit the needs of your class/group.

This workshop is open to anyone who is interested in exploring the powerful role that music can play in communication across the curriculum, and no prior musical experience is required. Join us for an inspiring and informative workshop that will leave you with a new appreciation for the transformative power of music within an educational setting.

Please note: this course was originally designed for non-Music Therapists, but Music Therapists are welcome to attend as a refresher course.
