Chiltern Music Therapy - An Introduction to Music Therapy as a Career

29 April 2023

We will support you to think about the realities of working across health, education and social care sectors, as well as experiencing what it is like to be a Music Therapist in the community. The Music Therapist’s toolbox is varied and we will introduce you to the approaches of music centred, psychodynamic, neurologic and community music therapy, as well as sharing some of the common assessment tools and outcome measures used in the varying sectors. As an organisation, Chiltern’s passion lies in being able to help our clients to share their stories and giving them a voice.

We will also discuss routes into the profession with input from the various accredited providers. We will showcase video and audio examples of some of those clients and their families that we are privileged to meet and work with.‍ This session is suitable for anyone interested in finding out more about the music therapy profession, including musicians and students on music courses.

Saturday 29th April 10am - 1pm Online (Zoom) £45 (student discount available - email training@chilternmusictherapy.co.uk to request a code).
