Ben Saul, BAMT Chair of Trustees
Ben Saul has been a music therapist since 1996. He is currently a senior lecturer in music therapy at the university of the West of England – Bristol and teaching professor in music therapy at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
His clinical work at present is in elder care and also CAMHS and learning disability. He has worked in adult mental health in community, inpatient and local secure services, paediatrics in community and education settings, and adult learning disabilities. He has completed Masters research in music therapy in learning disabilities.
I have been a trustee of BAMT since 2010 when I became Employment Liaison Officer, responsible for BAMT’s guidance for music therapists with employment issues and to support potential employers of music therapists. I am very excited to be working with our current team of established and newly appointed trustees to promote music therapy in the UK and look forward to representing the Charity as Chair.
