Training & Education Committee Head

This role is focused on the Training and Education Committee (TEC) which comprises programme leaders for all the HPC accredited training programmes (masters in music therapy). The Training and Education Officer is the Chair of the TEC. The TEC meets twice a year to discuss any issues that impact on the training of new music therapists. We refer to changes in higher and further education, the HPC, Allied Health Professions groups and also those relating to each setting where programmes are run. We respond to anything that is concerned with the training of music therapists. We organise and run a training day once a year for those working on training courses. These days are hosted at different programme settings in rotation. The TEC also supports and advises anyone developing a programme.

In addition to the work of the TEC, the Training and Education Officer is responsible for advising the BAMT office regarding any general or specific enquiry about training.
