Donald Wetherick, Trustee and Professional Development Officer

Donald Wetherick qualified as a music therapist in 1992 from the Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy Centre, London. Since then he has worked for Nordoff Robbins with a wide range of client groups and also in special education settings.

His specialist field is group work with children, especially with communication difficulties/ASD. Since 1999 he has been involved in training music therapists, first on the Nordoff Robbins MMT programme and from 2003 on the Guildhall School of Music and Drama's MA Music Therapy Programme. Since 2004 he has been a Partner with the Health Professions Council. He has presented and published articles and reviews on music therapy in the UK and is currently external examiner to the MA Music Therapy programme at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge.
