The guitar is one of the world’s most versatile musical instruments; a real ‘must have’ in any music therapist’s tool bag. In response to considerable feedback from our song writing courses at Sobell House we are offering this one-day course for the third year.
The day will include practical advice and tips on how to get started, how to use simple tunings to open up the instrument, getting beyond the dreaded I, IV, V and plenty of ideas on how to use your guitar in creative ways with different client groups. The ‘guitar cheat’ workshops will help you to start using creative ideas in sessions immediately. There will be time to meet and share experiences with practitioners from a wide range of settings.
Delegates will need to bring with them a guitar and a capo.
This course will be limited to 18 delegates and early booking is recommended.
